Title: Racing & SVA
Knighty - December 3, 2004 09:40 AM (GMT)
have found 3 people racing in Scorr, 1 hill climber and a few drag racers.....would therefore perhaps be an idea to add a racing section
Also I recently found out that there has beed about 6 fugitives made road legal via the SVA testing department since 1998.......so a SVA section may also be a good idea???
keep up the good work !!!!

Knighty - sorry! seems my post earlier was incorrect in that mine wasn't first
through. Have to blame John Dingley for that then. :D I was suprised when he told me.
I agree, an SVA section would be a good idea - could have done with one 3years ago.

Thought you might like a peak at the prize. B)

Great to see stuff like that!
Are the weights measured weights or max weights do you know?
I wondered how much your average Fug weighs. - anyone?

depending on engine choice i've heard that 550 - 600 kgs AUW is about right?
mind you, since a mk1 golf gti weighs 780 kgs i'm not so sure....? :o
Tigger - October 3, 2006 04:35 PM (GMT)
600kg is about right. Glass, interior etc is very heavy B)

with mine galvanised steel interior  it was 570kg according the rdw.
now i've got no glass no interior not too much steel in it. aluminium floor.
but only the porsche gearbox and brakes are much heavier... so i think it's still around the 550/570kg..

:) Have you tried pasting the text into babelfish?
gareth - October 5, 2006 02:32 PM (GMT)
i was hoping rutger would explain all before i had to do that!!! :P
Bin 'jammin' - October 5, 2006 02:40 PM (GMT)
Yeah even when you use babelfish it usually doesn't make any sense
rutger - October 5, 2006 09:08 PM (GMT)
Rijks Dienst Wegenwet-verkeer. it is like a sort of sva and a mot company.
they do the testing for import cars,
when the garages mot your car (apk) they have to fill in on the rdw-site. and then they can get an re-check of the car by rdw
rdw does also test a model from new cars, and will say if it gets an aproval and you may sell them in holland.
so rdw regulates everything that has wheel and a engine in it...
and babelfish can say weird thing about this, cause my english isn't the best of al...
