QUOTE
THIS CAR IS FOR AUCTION IT DOES NOT HAVE A BUY PRICE OR IS ADVERTISED ELSEWHERE.

OK BOYS AND GIRLS I HAVE TO SELL MY FAVORITE TOY, THIS IS A KINGFISHER KOMMANDO THE SAME AS A UVA FUGITIVE.

I HAVE JUST BOUGHT A CAMPER AND NEED TO RAISE FUNDS, I REALLY DO NOT WANT TO SELL AS I LIKE THE LITTLE CAR AND IT IS FUN.

IT IS READY TO GO, MOT TILL NEXT YEAR, TYRES HAVE LOADS OF TREAD, ENGINE GOOD AND STRONG 1641(STILL SHOWS 1296 ON LOG BOOK), TWIN SOLEX CARBS, TWIN OIL COOLERS, ADJUSTABLE PUSHROD TUBES, ALUMINIUM FAN HOUSING, 4-1 EMPI BOBCAT EXHAUST.

IF YOU ARE READING THIS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING AT SO I WONT CARRY ON DESCRIBING THE CAR.

IT WILL NEED ROAD TAX AND INSURANCE TO BE FULLY ROAD LEGAL.

IT COST ME ABOUT £150 TO INSURE FULLY COMP (LTD MILEAGE)

IT IS GREAT FUN TO DRIVE AND GETS LOTS OF COMMENTS AND LOOKS (I WAS TOLD THE OTHER DAY THAT "YOUR CAR IS SICK BRUV" NOT SURE WHAT THAT MEANS AS IT IS IN GOOD WORKING ORDER AND I WAS IN NO WAY CONNECTED TO THE YOUNG LADS LIMITED GENE POOL, BUT HE DID LOOK IMPRESSED.

VIEWING IS WELCOMED (BEXLEY AREA, NEAR DARTFORD TUNNEL)

IF YOU WANT TO DRIVE BRING PROOF OF YOUR OWN INSURANCE(AND A LARGE CASH DEPOSIT) AS MINE EXPIRES IN 3 DAYS

ANY SENSIBLE QUESTIONS PLEASE ASK, THANKS FOR LOOKING AND GOOD LUCK BIDDING

WINNING BIDDER IS TO COLLECT, IF NO CONTACT WITHIN 24 HOURS ITEM WILL BE RE-LISTED.

On 06-Nov-09 at 18:24:46 GMT, seller added the following information:

just a few thing i thought i should mention, as pictures cant show everything,

paintwork is not brilliant, orange is aerosol and white is primer,

roof lamps are proper kc daylighters,

seats are bare (lightweight) fibreglass, drivers seat is covered with high density foam (i'm getting old)

the fuel tank paint has started to blister, I was going to replace with spun ally tank (looks better)

I am only putting this on as the car has a lot of interest and i do not want anyone thinking its more than it is, saying that if you live in scotland and want to drive it home i can think of no reason (other than bleeding ears) why it would not get  you home without stopping.

if you are looking at this car you should know way around a set of spanners, if you don't and still want something like this look up 7-indulgence.co.uk as they can help with all kit car needs (2 good guys and 1 angry little dog)

again any questions please ask, viewing is recommended, buying will make you smile.

As it's properly registered that really was a gift, love the roof too. Always see good ideas when your own is finished, typical. I should have bought that one for the misses, bit too attached to mine for her to use it. :(

yes, now i have an idea what i am doing.it would have been mine if i lived closer. although to be honest the Q made me hesitate

The Q plate bit is fine, it's only if it has VW Beetle on the V5 you mustn't touch it. It's only beachbuggies etc. that have the Beetle floorpan that it's ok with, otherwise it's basically a "ringer". I always find it funny when people would say their Discovery is a Hybrid 1956 short wheelbase Landrover so it could be driven tax exempt. All we done was change the chassis, axles, engine and box, oh yes and the body and interior  I've never been brave enough to do it, so honestly don't know the likely fine and points etc. I'm sure this won't go down well, but I'm under the impression the Kingfisher was better put together too :(
