Fugitive 4 chassis for sale

This has been a hard decision to make but I am putting my Fugitive frame up for sale. The frame will include the swing axle rear suspension arms, bonnet, side panels and rear mudguards but will not include any other parts in the picture.
The chassis was partially stripped to bare metal so that I could weld on any necessary brackets for the build prior to having it painted. The tubes are in very good condition all over and the frame is very sound. The panels have been hand painted (not by me I hasten to add!) but would clean up well with a little work . It has a VW beetle V5 so really it will need IVA testing to be used on the road, unless you plan to use it off road or want it as a handy source of tubes for another Fug 4. There is a UVA serial number stamped into the tubes.
The frame is up for sale at £300 despite having cost me a fair bit more.
Other pictures of it can be found at the link below, though I stress again that many of the other parts are not included though I am open to offers.

Well there are a few reasons, trouble is I thought they all sounded reasonable until you actually list them - then they just sound lame!!
First - I am doing all the work on 'projects' in our business unit and, now that the business is starting to get rolling space is becoming an issue (the GP buggy, 3 motorbikes & the Fug take up more room than I thought especially when you hoard parts like I do!)
Secondly - we have done about 300 miles in the GP since I finished it in feb, less on the bikes, and I (we!) wonder why there are so many toys when they don't get used! As everything is stored at work it is just plain hassle to go out on a spur of the moment blast - you have got to get to the unit, move everything around get it out move everything back etc etc so I am trying to get the tally of things down.
If you know anyone who wants a Suzuki SV650 or a supermoto Yamaha XT600 then let me know!!

If I get absolutely no interest whatsoever then i'll try and hide it somewhere (sellotape it to the roof perhaps!!) and just crack on with it to get it done. I've spent lots on it so far and realistically I probably won't recover that. The frame as I got it cost me £660 on ebay.
In fact, stupidly, the more I talk about it the more I want to finish it!!! Aaarrrrrrrggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! :D

Jimbo,
understand exactly what you're thinking. All I can say is, If I had the chance of starting mine over again there's no way in the world I'd bother. Spend the hours you're likely to spend building that in paid employment and you'll get a Porsche with the cash! That's one outlook, the other is the enjoyment of building stuff and making it your own, which route you take and which route is right no one can answer. I'm now thinking of doing a 2ltr Mini, I have no idea what makes me compelled to do these things, I have little control over it when I get these ideas. What I know is, buy something someones else has built, they will have had the headache of locating bits, the hours in the garage and the bleeding knuckles where the spanner slipped, it's what I should always do, but usually don't. :(

Yeah, you hit the nail on the head there - there is always a discrepancy between what we should do and end up doing! Half the 'fun' of doing these hair brained schemes though is the satisfaction of doing something that very few people out there can do and the pleasure that comes from it. If I wanted a Porch err sorry Porsche then i'd buy one, but where is the fun in that!
I'll see how it goes at Xmas, I may be able to jig things around so that there is more time and space to get on with it...
Anyone know where I can get a set of ball joints pressed in cheaply.......??!
