Title: Mudguards
Bobby boy - April 11, 2010 06:33 PM (GMT)
Can you still get the mudguards with the ridge running down the centre, where is best to look ?
gtmdriver - April 12, 2010 07:50 AM (GMT)
Are we talking about the fronts or the rears?
I have a pair of badly knocked about front mudguards.
If there was enough demand I could take a mould from one and make a few replicas.

If I get the fug it would need rears, are they original with a ridge running down the middle or something that could be bought at the time because I have seen quite a few fugs with them on.

There is a guy on ebay who advertises trike mudguards, they are really rather nice and priced fairly too. They'd be ideal.

My front mudguards are original UVA with the central ridge. Unfortunately I don't have any rears.

I've got a full set of original centre ridge one's, there nothing special, the trike one's are a lot nicer. That said original is original I guess..

I will have to have a look at those if I can find them. Are the original ones fibre glass? might be interested if you want to sell any.
gtmdriver - April 13, 2010 07:27 PM (GMT)
Yes the original ones are fibreglass and you can have them when I've finished with them.
Are you in a rush?
John

Looks like I am going to get it. What condition are the rear mudguards in ?
gtmdriver - April 14, 2010 08:21 PM (GMT)
As I said in an earlier reply I don't have any rears.

I had some rears made for mine last year, no ridge by choice however the chap also had some with a ridge. Not sure what tyre size they fit but are fairly big. The company he owns does hot rod stuff and based in Essex, If that is any use I can put you in touch.
Bobby boy - April 19, 2010 07:29 AM (GMT)
Yes please that would be great

Not sure of the company name but the guys name is Nick Vincent and the work number is 01279 721035.
When I had mine made it was easiest for me to take the wheel to him and find one of the many mudguards he makes that fitted..... even then he had to do a custom job for me but price was sensible, hope he can help
