Title: Bonnet
Description: how do you secure it?

How do you fix your bonnet in position?

I've tried bonnet pins, locking pins, springs, and I've never been happy. I've never found a method that combined ease of access and the feeling that its secure enough to stay in place when I hit speed.

Pip-pins below the screen and springy thingies under the front (to the floor).
It works a treat.

Will have to take some pics and post them - soon.

Yes please - it'd be good to see an alternative.

The Pip-Pins and sockets were £40 odd a throw from Demon Tweeks. www.demon-tweeks.co.uk

Steel plate welded to the fug crosstube hold the sockets.

S/Steel springs bolted to floorpan with large eyelet hookon between two nuts bolted to, and thus securing, the bonnet. (about £15 from Woolies www.woolies-trim.co.uk )

I was planning to secure it halfway down but got wrong length Z-fasteners or whatever - on the 'yet to be sorted' list.

Hope it helps. :)
