Title: What Size Bolts
Description: on your front beam clamps?

What size bolts do you have fitted to your front beam clamps?

I used M8 when I restored it as M10 wouldn't fit the hole. However, I've a notion that the original UVA bolts were bigger - maybe an imperial size? Anyway, I can't find them now - or at least can't tell which ones they were in my big box of rusty bolts.

I shall check mine tonite for you.......dont forget its not just the size, its the grade too.........I would not use anything less than an 8.8.......10.9 would be good.............12.9 would be glass hard and overkill for such an application.........I think mine are size M10.......will let you know tomorrow ;)

I'm generally not too keen on going overboard with the hardness - I usually stick with 8.8 unless I have a good reason to go up. That's partly as I have a shed full of 8.8s. Never in the size that I want I've found recently, but that's a problem that I can solve with some Namrick lucky bags.

I'll be going on their web site tonight once I know all the bolt sizes that I need (hint hint).

Used M10 on mine, they bent slightly on tightening  (but still passed SVA).

M10 - right then - on to the Namrick website.

PS what bent? The clamps?

You bent an M10 bolt?

What happened, you get someone from Quikfit to do them up?

Ta. I took a chance and ordered 8 M10s a couple of days ago. I thought that I could always open up the holes a little if they were too tight. The M8s just looked too weedy to be holding on the entire front suspension.
