Mine gets some good spankings off-road = no probs.
If you want I'll collate and post a montage of my chassis mods? - I'm sure I got pics of them. ;)

Bob, sorry for the wait and the quality of pics. Here's the mods all seam arc welded. :)
1) 8mm-ish strap to hold mirrors + spots.

2) 1"x2" box-section (6mm thick) Sandwiching scaffold tube for harrness support.

3) 10mm thick steel bulkhead across front.

4) !"x2" box-section (6mm thick) between rear frame-tubes with 6mm lugs for rear seat-belt and other fastenings.

Hope they help/generate inspiration. ;)

This is what I was looking for where the extra tubes go for the front chassis

clear as mud
and rear for good measure

The extra front tubes are the most critical if you ask me, this is exactly what was done for the UVA F33 cars, I have also seen a serious off-road fug-2 with those braces, to put an analogy to it, try twisting a shoe box without the lid on, it will be as soft as 5hite........then put the lid on and it will be much more rigid.........chassis rails cracking on fugs is a common problem, these modifications are a must if your gonna give your fug a good battering off road

I've had the intention of putting something like those back tubes in for a while now. My engine and gearbox bounces around all over when I rev it.
I'll need to wait till I IRS it though - swing axles would be murder to get past those tubes.

is this what you are looking for ??

Mine has a race spec frame, with the bars in the front etc. My Fugitive knowledge is rather limited but it does make the frame look a little cluttered compared with a standard one. I certainly wouldn't remove them but by the same token i wouldn't put them in if i really didn't need them.
Hope to some some pictures of mine on soon.
