not exactly going to break your kneck doing a 17.3 on the 1/4 mile.....but interesting to see a fug still drag racing.....seem to remember a bloke called Craig Winstanley racing a Green Fug-2 in the early 90's, had a serious turbo motor and was consistently running under 10 seconds......ouch thats fast

anyone else still racing a fug out there????.....show us yer pics!

Guilty, as charged!

However, that was nearly 2 years ago with a modest 1641cc engine.

The car is now fitted with a homebuilt scrapyard special Turbocharged, Fuel-injected, intercooled 1835cc motor.

Best run to date is 13.5s @ 100mph

Oh - still on a stock gearbox and radial tyres too! ;)

The following pic was taken before the turbo was fitted at Big Bang last year - I borrowed some slicks to see what would happen and here is the result. Oh - engine was fitted with twin 40DRLAs at the time.

nice one......13.5 sec sounds much better!......the new motor sounds interesting......what fuel injection system you using?.....mechanical or electronic?......would be interesting to see pics of the motor......

is your car swing axle or IRS?......I was looking for an IRS fug.....but eventually bought a swing-axle fug-4......swing axle seems to go OK to me......seems to be a lot of people saying IRS is the way to go......wadyareckon????

Mechanical Fuel injection from the scrapyard
ex Saab900 Turbo from the scrapyard
ex Fiat Intercooler, Throttle Body and recirc. Dumpvalve from the scrapyard
Home made inlet manifolds from a bit of exhaust tuning that was lying around...

Mine is Swing Axle, just because thats what it came with when I bought it - the different set-ups have their Pros/Cons as I'm sure you know...
I guess its just personal preference, really.
