I am interested in a UVA Fugitive. I really want to put a new long block 4 litre Rover V8 engine in from RPI engineering, with Webers. I will be putting 2 seats in it and while it has to be road legal I will be using it a lot off road. I am thinking about using a land rover 4X4 transmission as well if this is possible.I am looking for a road legal and registered UVA I can do this with. Suspension etc I can upgrade myself but the basic framework and car must be sound, and registered. If you think you have something that maybe of interest or do this sort of work, please contact me by email and we can go from there. I
You can probably source something from the States already done and providing it's a certain age and already road registered it will be exempt from SVA and will receive a non q prefix from the people at Cardif but they do like to keep this information close to their chests.
The down side is shipment cost and hassle but your pound will buy a lot of serious off roader if you know where and what to look for.
They have chevy block etc in their sand rails
Just an idea
Hi, I have two fug 2's that I should really get rid of. They were bought with all the best intentions but I never seem to have the time or money to get on with them... Anyway one is complete, just needs a fair bit of TLC. And the other is striped down but I think I have all the parts except for the engine as a friend of mine borrowed it for his camper (I can get another one back from him if needed). They have both been stood for some years and will need work, but it sounds like you have big plans anyway. If you are interested in either or both and want pics ect. you can contact me at ed.hinton@ntlworld.com (by the way I’m in Swansea, south Wales). Hope you find what your looking for, Ed…
