what does the guy say you bought it from.

Try the chassis tubes usually stamped on the driver side I beleive.

Any way you could get in touch with Rutger on the forum as he is in Holland to make one up out of a piece of steel with the numbers stamped on it from the the UK log book. Then weld it to the car.

No one is going to worry to much as you have the UK registration documents as proof of the VIN and they have to accept low volume production cars are very much specials so the vin can be anywhere depending on the builder.

I hope this helps

Good luck

thanks for the tip caloun

Found a number on the left side on a round tube completely covered with paint (allmost not vissible)which is good to prove its original.

if the engine nr is not correct on the v5 and there is no proof of an original chassis nr or vin plate, then you have a real problem here.
I do a lot of other kitcars and have some bad expierience with the registration if something is missing

next step is now to get the fug proper registred as a F33 can am
does anybody have original factory folders with the f33 and other models on it

i also like to know what the kit price was
this for the tax department

i appreciate all your help

thanks harm

hoi harm, ze nemen bij rdw toch alleen over wat op je v5 staat ?
hi harm, at rdw they register it the same as wath is standing on the v5 ?

mijn fugitive staat nu als "1200 beetle sports"
mine is registered as "1200 beetle sports"

does anyone know what kind of cars are driving in u.k. with this description on the v5 doc ?????

Rutger

some one who built it has not registered it correctly but I may be able to help you out here without having to get the vechile SVA'd over the UK.

Obviously once the V5 is sorted and you have registered in Holland I presume you will not want the v5 doc ;) but that is up to you?

What I will say is you need documentation i.e sale receipt etc to prove build time etc.

remember to put back the original 1600 engine with the engine number as per V5. While the V5 is sorted out.
Once the V5 is sorted you can proceed to changing engines.

Ok so far

The procedure is legal but I am not going to outlined on a open forum so if your interested email me off line.

hi caloun, for me there is no problem anymore.

I have it registered in holland now ! they accepted it as a "1200 beetle sports" at the dutch rdw. it only was a question if some ever heard of this..

in holland there has never been a car called like this before, so they say it has to be a strange car. and they found mine ok with this v5..

so for all buyers in holland (harm). sva is NOT neccessary in holland, only v5 as long as the info on it matches the car...
