Title: Possibly looking!

El Capitano - August 6, 2006 09:52 AM (GMT)
hi guys, possibly looking for a fug, 2 or 4.. not too worried! only just really stumbled upon them , so just looking into them at the mo. Would love something like the porsche engined fug 4 on fleabay, the one with no body panels, but as some of you said, it didnt have a SVA, obviously very important!...

If anyone has one they are possibly thinking of selling, email is freestlyer4@hotmail.com (yes spelt wrong like that! :D ) or post on here and i will be checking!

I found Steve-T's fug on pistonheads.. i love this one, but on finding this site discovered it was sold! :( ... so you get the idea of what im looking for! Ok, so must be in good/very good condition, i will carry out some mods, but dont really have the time for a full rebuild!

Cheers in advance for any replies!

Ollie

well heres your lucky chance then! - Steve-T's old fug-2 is now for sale again - god knows why - the bloke in wales has only had it for about 2 weeks?.......I know its in very good condition, as steve did a lot of work on it........I would expect to pay £2500 if you want it - as thats about what the welsh bloke bought it for

:D yup, saw this yesterday tooo, speaking to the bloke now, gotta get some money sorted, hopefully blag a loan of my dad!

Fingers crossed looks like a goodun..

Also i asked the guy why he was selling so soon, he claims he wanted a westfield and one came up sooner than he expected??!

Anyone know of a decent insurance company? i assume Adrian Flux is the best to speak to?? are the fugs fairly cheap to insure.. bear in mind im 19, but this will only be a weekend toy obviously!

Good luck with your purchase, I first saw this one last year in a Kit Car mag when I was looking to buy, but it was a bit outside my budget. Good looking car.

I use Sureterm Direct ( 0845 2020230 ) for insurance, costs me 90 squid a year, although I am an old fart, but this is without any no claims bonus as you can only use it on one policy. You also get salvage in the unlucky event of a write off, which is important with a car of this type.

that interesting and cheaper than Adrian flux mine is around 98.00 but that is for a 2.0 litre limited mileage 4,000 miles no no claims bonus.
quite like the idea of salvage rights though.
I will give them a call next year.
