Title: 12" Deep Dish Mountney Fit Steering Wheel

Steve-T - September 6, 2006 04:51 PM (GMT)
Does anyone have any idea where I can get a 12" Deep Dish Mountney Classic Fit Steering Wheel from ?

I've current got a semi dish (5cm) fitted and want to bring the wheel further into the cockpit and thus raised above my legs. I've already got a 15mm spacer, which doesn't quiet do the trick.

I've tried Mountney, but they don't produce the deep dish version anymore (despite Demon Tweeks still advertising it........but they can't supply)

Cheers,

Steve

Cal,

Cheers for that.

The fella who did the work on my car :-

Sean - 07979043176
Based in Pleshey, just outside of Chelmsford, Essex.

He's a Beetle mechanic/restorer.

His mate :-

Cliff - 07881638162
supplies used VW bits - i.e. my secondhand adjustable beam. They both work at the same farm/barn.

As for the wiper, I sourced mine from the rear of a Fiat Uno from a breakers. I liked the built in wash. Saved me having to drill a hole in the bonnet. The bottle was from a Micra. I installed it all and Sean wired it in.

As for the new car - almost, but not quite....too fast !!!

Cheers,

Steve
