Just out of curiosity, is there a set of plans anywhere for an F33 chassis?

It might be quite easy to make one if you're handy with a welder! ;)

I presume some one has a set somewhere
I did read somewhere about all the bits of UVa sold of to some Italian firm?

To be honest I think it would be better to start a fresh and get some one like Manchester Poly (Status) interested in designing a new fugitive chassis without the incumberant vw parts. They need stuff for student to do there final desitation on.
:D

It should be eligble for VWdrc with some minor modification and also conform to latest reg for Scorr. blah blah blah
It should have reasonable torsional regidity etc etc
Use componets from common cars and take a range of mid mounted modern engines and a funky body shell

chatting to some guys from cardiff-aircooled and the fuge is not VWDRC eligible for anything quicker than a 15sec run due to the thickness of the tubing....(hence they are sooo cheap all of a sudden!!!)

we can quite easily RWYB them at the pod though with no restrictions save for crash helmets and arm straps.......

the F33 is basically a fug-4 with front wishbones and a slightly re-worked rear......the hardest part would be finding or re-constructing the body moulds.......if I'm honest they were a bit ugly and your better off styling something a bit more kinder to the eye
