Title: The eternal 2 or 4 question
Description: is it all in the arrow?

steve_vfr - October 18, 2006 10:34 PM (GMT)
Can anyone give a definitive answer as to how to tell a Fug2 from a Fug4?

Pic of Fug - apparently a Fug2

This I understand to be a Fug2 - it has a pointy up arrow at the point the top frame rails have the bend in.

BUT, the photo of a frame shown half way down this topic shows the same pointy up arrow where the fraim rails bend

and is supposed to be a Fug 4.

This is said to be a 2 not a 4 and again has the pointy arrow at the bend.

My Fug has the arrow at the bottom of the windscreen, not where the the top frame rails bend

steve - apart from the moved screen your frame appears to be idential to mine which is def a fuge 2 B) (see pics in the das fuge thread ;) )

i assumed a fuge4 was just longer between the windscreen and the rear pillar but i'm still new to this game..... :D ;)

Hi Steve,
Your fug is defo a fug II it has the mark of zoro instead of the british army crows foot (arrow) in between the two rails that run the length each side.

The two frames that you've shown are ours and are fug II's.

Garageman's fug is a IV (black with big mudguards) and the yellow one at the show is also fug IVuser posted image

this is my fug-2 under construction

when you look to the "roof" you can see the difference between the 2 and the 4.

also when you look at the bonnet: fug 2 has a long nose and short middle.

fug 4 has a short nose/bonnet a ENOUGH room for 4 seats in it.

try to fit 4 seats in a fug-2, really... it doesn't fit in.

also a fug-2 has an almost straight-up roll-barr in the middle. fug-4 stands like / , bend some more to the front...
