just bought a pair of tiny 4" diameter chrome streetfighter motorbike headlamps from fleabay for £30.......ooooooh - excitement........that will keep my grey matter turning over while renovating the bathroom :angry: ........have been told they both dip, are E-marked, and they dip to the left - which is a bit of a must for Mr MOT.......will look ten times better than the pair of 8" dustbin lids that I have on at the moment.......will keep you all posted B) B) B)

There's some great stuff out there, i particularly like the LED billet aluminium double housing ones, super bright and all that. B)

here you go - some are called bates style.......some are called dominator style - god knows the difference???...... and I dont know the type I have just bought! they just look right!..........but you need to be really careful to get some that both dip, and dip to the left.........if they dip to the right - that means they are for driving in france on the wrong side of the road, and will be totally wrong for the UK.......hence you need to ask the seller lots of questions before you buy em.......I'm convinced there are a lot for sale on ebay that would be wrong for UK driving on the left - that includes the sellers in the links below........hence look for the majic words.... "UK spec"....."E marked"......and I'm told "H4 bulbs" means they can dip.

I have heard diameters quoted at 3.5" or just below 4".......

I never drive my fug at night, so I just want small lamps that wil fulfill the MOT requirements and keep mr plod happy

Bates were an old headlamp manufacturer in the 50's and when everyone started chopping up their GSX-R in the late 80's early 90's and making the style now known as Streetfighter they took ideas from the 50s/60's cafe racer bikes.

Domminator is just a model name but Bates style lights are chromed lights with cup style backing.

riiiiiiiiggggghhhht........now I understand.......thats why I cant see the difference then - coz they are all the same :huh:
