100bob - January 16, 2007 11:04 AM (GMT)
I'm starting on mine this week, really going to push and get it done now. I've imported some expert help as well, assuming he's interested enough there's no limits now. Failing that,it's going to be up for sale very shortly and I'm buying a finished Westfield. Nearly a year I've had this thing stuck in the garage and the novelty is bound to wear off sooner or later,it's got this one chance left. :(

gareth - January 16, 2007 11:18 AM (GMT)

go for it bob!!! :D

as cool as westfields are, i'd never take one over a good looking fuge B) :ph43r:

:ph43r: Is it the silence before the storm... ?:ph43r:

p.s. getting everything ready for stoneleigh

Paul - March 15, 2007 07:32 PM (GMT)

Well it's warmer now .... so I've actually been to visit the car! It's a long way to the back garden ;)

Had a bit of a garage clear-out last weekend and I can now just about get around the car.

Went through the wiring working out what connected where on the old engine and labeling it all up. Should make things easier when/if the new engine gets added in.

That's the most progress I've made in a few years! Could this be the start of something ????

More bits came off ebay this week (new core plugs for the Alfa engine).

I'll be at Stoneleigh, the car won't.

Tigger - March 15, 2007 09:04 PM (GMT)
I'm just about on top of my new steering modification. Deadline is till Easter for me so I will be at Stoneleigh.... :P

Bob ...don't do it  Westys are good but they will never be fugging good B)

Knighty - March 16, 2007 07:07 PM (GMT)
new core plugs?........have any started to leak or popped out then?.......

I have to say I have driven a few caterhams and westfields when I worked at webber, and I thought it was the weirdest driving experience ever - you sit over the back axle and the nose swings about in front of you - horses for courses and all that - just not for me!

100bob - March 16, 2007 08:49 PM (GMT)
I've driven a couple and I do rather like the style, that said I've still never driven a Fug yet, let alone my own. I just like things that are different, mind you there's a lot 7s about so their not really that different now. I'd like something like an Atom but that's just to much money to even think about. :( Fug will get done and even though I've not driven one I get the feeling it'll be worth the wait.

Knighty - March 17, 2007 08:43 PM (GMT)
I think a fug-2 will actually drive very similar to a caterham 7 / westfield, as the fug-2 seating position is quite far back compared to a fug-4

as for me I'm happy to report that a full stint in the garage today has ironed out the headlamp gremlin and they are looking and working a fugging treat, have just re-set the front camber and toe settings after a full beam replacment, as they were miles out!.........so I'm aiming for an MOT within a week........I will be a happy man after that

indicators have started ticking fast for some reason or another, but I'm hoping a new ticker unit from halfords will cure that.......but any other ideas greatly appreciated!

stoneleigh here we come! B) B) B) B)

rutger - March 18, 2007 10:12 AM (GMT)
if you use 2x 21w-bulbs the ticker should do it normal, try it when you connect an extra bulb on it if it goes slower...

or connected it wrong ?

fugieian - March 26, 2007 09:00 AM (GMT)
WAS SHOWING MY FUGE AT RIPON SHOW LAST YEAR AND COULDNT HELP OVERHEARING SOMEONE SAY"IT LOOKS LIKE A WESTFIELD FOR A FARMER!!!!!"LOL.

rutger - June 24, 2007 06:57 PM (GMT)
like the topic name..

WHERE ARE YOU GUYS ?????

busy with the fugs ? :ph43r: saw that jammin' and a-orange are selling there coolest cars  shame you guys

ahh well, going further with mine.. probs, probs and more problems to solve..

100bob - June 24, 2007 07:09 PM (GMT)
Ya right,it's certainly quiet. :( I've looked on here a few times and the site has been busy, generally by guests, but they're not joining. Wonder if it's because everone has got their Fugs completely finished and they've all gone out in them? :D No I didn't think so either. ;) Rutger, you going to post anymore film clips soon, they are rather good.

rutger - June 24, 2007 09:06 PM (GMT)

Rutger

Are you not having the same wonderful weather we've got?

Marble sized hailstones again yesterday for the second time in a week! Got to love the British summer. Not ideal for working on the car in though.

Cheers

Paul.

rutger - July 10, 2007 03:35 PM (GMT)
yes I have B) I think they call it "monsoon" ?

only got sun last sunday. so then I was testing the fug ! but now I can't get real further with adjusting the carbs. almost perfect now.

only a problem raise again. with a little throttle he ran to lean on a 55 idle-nozzle.
a little to rich on a 60 idle nozzle. so then you would buy a 55 I guess.. :)

not in stock in hole f**** nether...

ooo wait, now I'm looking again and they have them in stock now :)

.........
......
......

so ordered them B) now hoping for the good weather. only got a few weeks to drive it. going on vacantion from 4th august till 11th novembre B)

Tigger - July 10, 2007 04:00 PM (GMT)
