Knighty - November 7, 2007 12:03 PM (GMT)
I want a better rib protector fro karting, I already have one but its a bit wafty...... I cracked my ribs for about the 5th time ever a couple of weeks back, while doing a 3 hour enduro at buckmore park......man it hurts......and theres no cure apart from time!

best prezzy ever......ermmmm.......technical lego set when I was a wee lad......thats what made me the engineer I am today.....I cant wait for my son to get some!.....a close second to that was a set of small screw drivers when I was about 6.......nothing was safe from that point on, I took all broken stuff apart for a good look inside :ph43r: .......thems were the days!.......

obviously scaelextrix is up there too........bought my son a set for his 1st birthday :D .....the 3 years and upwards is just a guide as far as I'm concerned!......I had a great time :)

oh yeah, I forgot to mention, my missus is 20 weeks preggerz again, its due late march B)

Knighty, congratulations to you both, fab news, I've got 2 now, both boys, one 20 month old one eight months old - we've found out what is causing it so have put a stop to it.

Did my ribs karting once, hurt like hell for ages, couldn't even take deep breaths, rib protector would have been useful!

Fugieian, with you on the slot cars, got loads myself (about 80 I think), slimmed down the collection recently, trying to get the entire grid from Le Mans 1970, about half way there, having to scratch build some.

Is the Fugitive you have the SCX buggy thing with the 4x4 and the spring loaded guide? - had one myself, sold it on ebay for £100+ to some bloke in Spain. Got the Paris Dakar Schlesser buggy coming soon - should be fun.

So what do I want for Christmas? Well what you want and what you get are always 2 differant things. So not making any requrest apart from world peace!

cheers! AB.

cripes, a 12 month gap........yeah, my missus is saying this is the last one......gulp, I know whats next.......aparrently it really itches, then turns black :( :( :( :(

I was actually wearing a tillet rib-tec when I had the bump, but it was quite a whack.......I have since found the tillet jobs are a bit mickey mouse, and have now found a nice sparco item with tough fibre-glass inserts which father christmas has just ordered from the tweeks mag

Tigger - thanks!.......looks like theres a link.......Lego = Fug nutter.......how old are you by the way?

I hate to admitt it,but I've also had a thing for Lego. I even have an eighteen wheeler with a helicopter on it. I obviously had it as a kid,but I've been known to build stuff even quite recently. I find it relaxing, some people do jigsaws, what's the difference  I also volunteer to build all the other type of thing I buy for the kids, and my sister kids that's too old for them to do.
Mrs just caught me writing this and has made me admitt to my "Mr potato head collection" I'm having thoughts about my sanity now. :(

100bob,

Nothing wrong with that, and Lego is /was fantastic, built lots of stuff long before NASA and the like :P Just think you could be wearing beige and drinking dry sherry..?

Knighty,

Old enough to remember the '70's and forget the '80's :P

When I first got my Fug in 1990 (I was a young 21!) one of the first things I did was hunt out my old Lego Technical set of a fork lift truck, it was soon a Fug! So nohing wrong with Lego in my book.

Remember in about 1992ish I bought a set of disc brakes for a 1500cc beetle to go on the Fug, the bloke who I picked them up from had legions and I mean thousands of the original star wars figures, hundreds of stormtroopers on parade in front or a number of At-At's - it takes all sorts. Must get round to fitting the discs at some point too.

My boys will have no problem with Scalextric, will get some cheap cars for them to smash up when they are old enough. Charlie, my eldest, will be 22 months at Christmas and is getting one of these.... www.kiddimoto.co.uk - I think the age things are just a guide too!

Been thinking about for me...got some really nice Arlen Ness leathers at work!

cheers! AB.
