3.8 Rover V8 3.8cc/238ci
3.5 SD1 Block Honed 90.020mm/3.6228”
Main studs and stress relieved

Lightened and balanced rotating assembly
72mm stroke crank,
Cosworth forged pistons (10.5:1 compression ratio)
Group A spec con rods

Custom Oselli performance cam
248 degree .533 in/ex

Delorto carbs and manifold with braided (-6an) fuel lines
And linkages


Ported head heads with 1.4 ex 1.625 in 5/16 stem valves
With new guides, performance springs and locks

Modified sump with -12an head drains,(braided hose)

2x Renault m6 Trans axle, both inspected, complete with balanced fly wheel and clutch and all required bolts or studs, One has bell housing to Rover the other is standard


Exhaust headers and silencers to suit Mid engine car

Was in UVA kit car, Sump was removed and inspected by professional engine builder. All seems VERY well bearings are good, crank has end float and side clearance is good all rods. Comes with a folder including compression ratio, valve installed height ect,
Was sold as 320hp, but no dyno info, and claimed 4.0 0-60s!

Hi Ben - do you mind me asking if you still have the car it came from?.......if so what was it?........I'm guessing an F30 or F33?........the reason I ask is they are so bloody rare nowdays that whenever theres a sniff of one about, its always interesting to hear more.........have you got any pics?

nice engine by the way, as much as I would like it, I dont think my neightbours would approve........I can imagine its F-loud :( .........I know tuning the Rover V8 is a fickle task, the spec certainly sounds the part.

Sadly i dont know what became of the car, will try find out, i got the motor from a customer at work,

I belive it was a F33

Possibly this car, as i was bought in Doncaster

Hi Ben, thanks for the reply, yes it wouldnt surprise me if it was that car either.........to my knowledge that car is now/ or was painted black and was last seen at the Newark show in 1998, also for sale at £11,750, aparrently it was a circuit racer converted back to road use......you can see it in the show section on the pain page......it would be nice to track it down........if you could ask around it would be much appreciated.

I'll ask next time they guy comes in to work, he is a regular so it shouldnt be long,
The engine came with some UVA catalougues/info books from 89 (i think) will these be intrest to any 1 in the club?

Bad news, I spoke to whom the engine came from today, It was that car,
and sadly he cut it up, as he didnt fit in th car, this was around 7/8 years ago

He is bringing me some more in fo on car on sat, so i'll see whats there

:o :o :o :o whaaaat!!!!!!!.......when he turns up could you please do him with a stanley knife.......ideally accross the face and in the guts.........f&*cking cut it up!........how do you cut up an £11,000 car?.....cripes......is there anything left of it?.......or was it all binned?........yeah, more infor would be appreciated.

than was the most beutiful F33 I have ever seen, how someone could cut it up is beyond me :(
