Title: FOR SALE - UVA FUGITVE 2
Description: £2500 - Bristol
rick.d.brown - September 20, 2008 11:06 AM (GMT)

Sadly, the time has come for me to sell my UVA Fugitive 2, as I need the space in the garage for my other two buggies.
I bought the Fugitive in May '06 and have done about 7 thousand miles in it since then, with the number of miles covered decreasing each year :(
It's kept garaged and is in great shape with no rust anywhere that I can see and it drives well.
It's correctly registered as a UVA of the V5 and is on a Q plate, so it isn't tax free :(, but it's taxed until 31/10/08 and has a year's MOT, as of yesterday :) It costs me just over £100 per year to insure.
More details about it (including its faults, as I see them) can be found
HERE with more photos of it as it is now
HERE.
In the pictures, neither the windscreen nor the mud guards are fitted but they will be supplied with the car. I have never fitted the windscreen but I have used the mud guards regularly and they are very easy to fit and remove. I will also supply a wiper motor and spare AB code gearbox with it, the condition of which are both unknown but I have no reason to believe they don't work.
I would prefer to sell it
WITHOUT THE ENGINE that's currently in it, as I built it myself and I intend to put it in Tina's buggy.
I'm looking for
£2000 ono without the engine but would be prepared to negotiate a price with the current engine, or the previous engine if necessary.
The car is located just north of Bristol (GL12 8PH) and viewing/test drive (subject to weather conditions) is recommended.
Give me a call on 07989 669779 if you're interested.

What engine is in it atm?
Also, you said about keeping the current engine and fitting another engine, what engine is this?
Top marks on your buggy, it looks fantastic, i am quite interested However i do live quite far away.
How much would you be willing to let it go for with the engine, and how much would you let it go for without the engine?
You can reply on here, or my email address is: courtnellrules@hotmail.com
Regards
Chris

Current engine is a 1641 twin port that I built myself. It is the first engine I've built and I don't have a great deal of confidence in it. It also has dual Dellorto DRLA 40s with CB Performance manifolds, air filters and linkage which I need to keep for one of my other buggies.

The previous engine is believed to be a 1600 single port (although I haven't had the heads off to measure the barrels/pistons) with dual Kadron 40 carbs. It ran fine when I took it out of the car.

£2000 without engine. Price negotiable with engine.
I recommend that you come to have a look at it if you're interested before the weather gets too bad...

| Still available :) |
Hi, sorry i haven't been in contact for a while, I have been away.
I am still very interested but unfortunatly due to the economic climate i will not be able to afford a purchase like this as much as i want to, unfourtunatly i also have to "tighten my belt".
However, if it is still available in the new yer, things may llok better and i will look into it again.
Sorry for wasting your time.

No problem. I'm not in a hurry :) If it sells, it sells. If not, I'll hang onto it.

No, it's still available if you're interested. I've emailed you, as requested.
Until I post that it has been sold, anyone that's interested can assume that it's still available on a first come, first served basis :)
