Title: Fug4 military replica possibly for sale

BobSayers - October 30, 2008 03:34 PM (GMT)
Hi, Guys,

I say "possibly" because family committments mean that I may very soon have to come down to the use of one "ordinary" vehicle, and have no reasonably secure parking for the Fug.

For those of you who knew Dom's Fug4, because of my interest in military vehicles this has now been rebuilt as a replica of the Light Strike Vehicle / Special Attack Vehicle used by the SAS and other Special Forces.

It will be sold with the GPMG (7.62mm General-Purpose Machine Gun) on it's vehicle mount, the correct radio antenna mounts, a choice of (non functioning) military radios, and various other military fittings. I have some other contemporary military items which may also be available.

The Fug has the 1600 VW engine, is Tax-exempt, and has a long MoT. I'll try and attach a photograph to this but quite a number of photographs, and more detailed information, can be found on the "MechanicalMules" yahoo Group site. And yes, that's a Pinzgauer in the background of one of the photos, which unfortunately is also up for sale.

Reply via this Forum, or direct to bobsayers2000@yahoo.com if I can give you any more details (or mobile 0791-325-9255, but only from 2000 this evening onwards, please). For those of you in striking distance of the classic rally at Hanbury, Worcs, this coming weekend, I'm hoping to have the vehicle in the military section there, but I can't absolutely guarantee it at the moment.

regards,

Bob

only a 7.62GPMG  ........shame, if it was a 50 cal I would have snapped it up :ph43r: ........I must admit, a fug does already draw enough attention without a machine-gun on-top.

I'm afraid that family needs now means that the Fug must be sold before Christmas. I've had quite of interest in the replica GPMG and radio equipment from the classic military vehicle community, so if anyone is interested at a lower price without some of these accressories please contact me off-Forum at bobsayers2000@yahoo.com

Photos to follow tomorrow.

Best regards,

Bob
