hi, as you can proberly tell i am a beginner and am dwelling on buying my 1st Fug, however, the current owner says to get it running i will need to redo the electrics.
now im fairly certain i can find help on refitting the electric my only proble is finding replacement parts.
What do you guys recomend?
obviously i would like reasonably price replacement parts, maybe a salvage yard, but i also want somthing that can be reliable.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Durite who's number is 01255 555200, they won't deal direct, but will give you your nearest supplier. They do terrific headlights etc, very cheap, I have them on mine, by all means look in the gallery, think they were £17 a pair. There is a mass of other interesting stuff in the catalogue as well. That said, I just had a quick look in the site Bailey posted. Very impressed, don't see you could go wrong with that either, but still compare or choose what comes from who. Always with electrics, buying the stuff is the easy bit
I'm sure you can still buy a whole beachbuggy loom new, with just the basics you'll need on it. Could save a lot of time and it'll look tidy at the end, like they say, worst thing in kit-cars is the wiring. Think it was kit-cars, may have been Fiats :D :D
It sort of depends on what they mean by the electrics need replacing.
If you're looking at the engine electrics e.g. coil, distributor, leads etc then Volkspares or Megabug stock most stuff.
If you're looking at all the switches, fusing, wiring, lighting side of things then one of those mentioned in preceding posts or from the following :
http://www.premierwiring.co.uk/http://www.thewiringproject.co.uk/www.cbsonline.co.uk - Plenty of bits including an easily wired fuse and relay board that can form the bulk of a rewire.
