Title: guess the car

mattd - February 6, 2009 10:07 PM (GMT)
Who wants to play guess the car. Somone puts up a pic and we all have to guess what it is. Any car or kit car. Whoever gets it right posts the next one. Try this for a start.

Blimey thats not easy! Maybe something using a Dodge donor?

Bailey - February 7, 2009 01:07 AM (GMT)
I think its a "Totalfuginmess"

Am I right?

mattd - February 7, 2009 08:58 AM (GMT)
Its not dodge based, and youre right bailey its a total fuggin mess. But thats not what its called. It does have a lot in common with a fug though.

DEVON.DAVE - February 7, 2009 09:39 AM (GMT)
What, like its got no doors?

Tigger - February 7, 2009 12:14 PM (GMT)
Ahh..... yes, that is a 'Brubaker', uses a standard VW beetle floorpan.... do I win :D

mattd - February 7, 2009 12:40 PM (GMT)
Yes its a brubaker box, and it does have a door on the side that slides open. I went to have a look at one I found on ebay just down the road from me. The guy wanted too much money for my liking, it needed a fair bit of work. Over to you then Tigger. ;)

mattd - February 12, 2009 07:49 AM (GMT)
come on tigger, youre turn.... :P :P :P :P

Le Mans Man - March 27, 2009 09:10 PM (GMT)

...ok so its not that difficult.

Keebs67 - March 27, 2009 09:13 PM (GMT)
Nova? In gulf racing colours :D :D

Le Mans Man - March 27, 2009 09:22 PM (GMT)
Not a Nova, never liked them or undersood why other people liked them even if they are about as classic as a kit can get.

Colours were a copy of the Gulf colours but painting this car in them probably devalued every 917 and GT40 ever built.

DEVON.DAVE - March 27, 2009 09:33 PM (GMT)
Thats a MBC Charger. Theres a brand new unused one on VZI for sale at the moment.

Le Mans Man - March 27, 2009 09:40 PM (GMT)
yep its a charger - odd looking and bloody awful to drive....kinda miss it!

DEVON.DAVE - March 27, 2009 10:24 PM (GMT)
Guess its my turn then, how about this little beauty?

Firstly I thought, it's a banana box and some pram wheels. However I realised after careful and long thought out inspection, that it is infact a cleverly disguised JCB bucket. Sorry Dave, I really hope it's not yours now I've said that. :D :D

Keebs67 - March 29, 2009 09:15 PM (GMT)
Some sort of trecker?

DEVON.DAVE - March 29, 2009 09:34 PM (GMT)
Ok, a bit of a clue.......The engines all alloy and its in the boot.

baja_ady - March 31, 2009 07:37 PM (GMT)
Looks like one of those Aussie variant vw bush cars, trekker based, but saw one at volksworld and looked different to this. Think JCB is the closest!

mattd - March 31, 2009 07:48 PM (GMT)
somthing along the lines of a hillman imp kit car maybe?

DEVON.DAVE - March 31, 2009 08:12 PM (GMT)

I have been thinking the car is called a Nomad - but not 100% convinced I am right on that one.

That Police buggy thing is horrendous if its the one I think it is based on original mini running gear - saw one years ago at a kit car show, been feeling ill ever since.

DEVON.DAVE - April 6, 2009 10:11 PM (GMT)
No, ill give another clue......Its a name of a four legged animal! No, not a dog :D

mattd - April 7, 2009 06:59 AM (GMT)
a mule????

DEVON.DAVE - April 7, 2009 07:23 AM (GMT)
Ooooooooh! Not quite, they did make a 'Mule' though, which was very similar! I reckon Matts going to get it.

Le Mans Man - April 9, 2009 09:04 PM (GMT)
Yak?

100bob - April 9, 2009 10:39 PM (GMT)
Donkey :D

100bob - April 9, 2009 10:43 PM (GMT)
My missus reckons it'd be a ass, as that's what you'd look if you were driving it :D :D :D I thought donkey was more diplomatic. lol.

DEVON.DAVE - April 12, 2009 09:25 AM (GMT)
Last clue, it begins with an L and its wooly!

jacko - April 12, 2009 09:36 AM (GMT)
Lamb ??? :D

DEVON.DAVE - April 12, 2009 06:44 PM (GMT)
No!

Le Mans Man - April 12, 2009 06:44 PM (GMT)
Llama?

100bob - April 12, 2009 07:15 PM (GMT)
"Lamb"borghini. All I can think of other than that is "Lamb"retta. There is also Legwarmers, they are woolly and begin with the letter "L." Generally no-one other than my missus and the kids appreciates my sense of humour, so please feel free to tell me to pee-off. :D :D :D

mattd - April 12, 2009 07:20 PM (GMT)
Oh le mans man!!! you're right, it's a Siva Llama (i hope). I spent hours on Friday searching the internet for this damn car. And I came across the Siva's... just not that one. Oh well, ho hum. Ooo, best I introduce myself too, I'm Jo... Matt's better half ;)

You made me chuckle 100bob

DEVON.DAVE - April 12, 2009 07:59 PM (GMT)
Yippee! its a Siva LLama! What a pile of S***e it is too!

Le Mans Man - April 13, 2009 07:48 PM (GMT)
and I didn't even have to revert to my 1991 Kit Cars International guide to every UK kit built since 1970...cracking read that it is.

Guess its my turn to post a picture - will look at my file of rusty old clutter I used to own and find something appropiate to post - are bikes allowed?

cheers! AB

Le Mans Man - April 18, 2009 07:53 PM (GMT)
How about this one then - a real production car - ok so they didn't build that many! So what is it?
