For the past two years, members of the bajaclub.co.uk forum have organised & run an off-road track at VW Action. For 2009, we are also organising an off-road driving event at Plymouth Volksfest.

In order to improve the variety of cars on show to the public, and to make the most of the facility we would like to invite members of this forum to join us.

The show is taking place from Friday 22nd to Monday 25th of May at Newnham Park, near Plymouth. The off-road course will be open on the Saturday and Sunday.

We are planning on having a gentle off-road course, a mud run, a hill climb contest & a few larger obstacles to play on. Hopefully there will be something for everyone, from newcomers to seasoned dirt bashers!

All drivers should have full driving licenses, and please make sure that your car is in good mechanical condition. There will be BajaClub members on hand to give all cars a basic safety check before heading onto the course, open cars will require roll over protection to be allowed to tackle larger obstacles.

If your VW is too low or shiny you are welcome to watch or come for a ride with a BajaClub member. (Rides will be given for a £2 donation to the club.) Just follow the signs up the hill to the off-road area (a 10 minute walk), or grab a lift with an off-roader.

If you wish to join us in your car please meet us in the main arena at the times shown below.

10.00am Meet in main arena & drive to site.
10.30am Driver’s meeting for the morning session.
1.00pm Break for lunch. Static display in the main arena.
2.00pm Meet in main arena & drive to site.
2.30pm Driver’s meeting for the afternoon session.

Thats me in the buggy by the way ;)

The buggy was a long wheel base on street tyres, so you don't need a hardcore car to take part (more fun though :D ). I'm going to bebetter prepared this year - tough baja on poper mud tyres B)

Unfortunately i don't currently have any pics of the hill climb or mud pit at the moment.

I spoke to a couiple of guys when they got back from this last year, they said they loved it :lol:
Ill be at plymfest again this year...great chilled show with lots of music... :D
