Does any one have a starter for where I can get info on what needs to be done for SVA. i.e what they look at it? There must be some sort of lists of requirements.

The best I can suggest is to buy the manual from the Vehicle Inspectorate
(VI), it cost me £25 but is probably a tad more now. The reason being, it
is the same document which the inspectors work to - a level playing field
even. ;)
The language is a bit arcane but can be deciphered with perseverance. The

Thanks for your reply. After reading the forum which is what I should have done in the firts place (doh!) I found this information was already mentioned. It would be nice if there were some faq's somewhere or may be there are and I have missed that too. It looks like it not straightforward judging by what has been said.
