Well this came in with the emails today - John Dingley who previously ran the owners club took this video on the way back from Le Mans in 2001 when we managed to get 3 Fugs down there (and back!). Has John's V8 Fug, Adrians Fug and mine when it still had the Fiat Twin-Cam lump.

Don't want to split hairs but I think that was in 2000 not 2001 - still remember some French blokes giving us a really odd looks - I wonder why?
Was that the year when 4 of us went out on the saturday night in Paul's fug? - two of us in the back caused a lack of air to the radiator and a massive over heating problem - steam everywhere! In more recent years we've just taken to drinking all day on the saurday to avoid any unfortunate night time trips!
As I recall we'd left the main road to find petrol in a small village - we found some at a small local shop that happened to have a single petrol pump outside - wierd!

Well John did say "around 2001" to me and all the Le Mans trips blur together a bit in my head!
Yup that was where we were desperate for petrol, turned off the main road as there was a petrol sign. Then had to drive about 10 miles through the countryside on little roads till we came to one small pump outside a closed garage/workshop in a small village. Eventually someone found out that you had to go into the mini-market next door to buy the petrol!
Yup, you fat bastards blocked my radiator airflow - if I remember someone (who may have consumed a large quantity of Baileys) went back and got another Fug and towed me back to the campsite past a rather large amount of French police.
As I remember me and Wayne had to walk several miles back to the campsite to wake up the aforementioned baileys consuming monster and send him to find you in the V8 fug...easy task.
Actually Wayne isn't your passenger in the video - Dave (pack my tent up at 7am and sleep in the Fug) is. So must've been a different year - yeah they all merge into one!!!
As to John's skateboard, seen the first one but he didn't let me ride on it - but there again I wouldn't have let me ride it if I was him!!!

I actually have some video taken when 4 of us were in (i.e. on) your Fug that night at Le Mans, blocking the radiator airflow, I think camera was running when it broke down 'cos there is lots of swearing going on.
I might dig out some of these old clips and get them up on YouTube over Christmas.
