hi, not to sure where to start but here is my fugitive 2, its all road reg and legal, tax till end november and tested untill may 2010..£1950 is the price..
it has the roof and doors with it, no rips no tears all press studs are intact.
it has twin 40a/44 solex carbs on the air cooled lump, this is now a 1750 which started life as a 1600. which was built by the previous owner, the gearbox is a short shift vw box, gears are very very close together, all brakes work sound, all bearings are a1. has the original alloy fuel tank under the front, this car dont go like a old beatle, infact its quite quick off the mark. souds awsome with the carbs and the motorbike end can.
the exhaust manifold was made to suit, all the pipes are the same length to keep the balence and back pressure equal, the speedo dosnt work as the alloy wheels have not got the lug in to fit the cable, so i put a pushbike speedo on it and calibrated it so you have a speedo.
drives very well, no suspension or gearbox issues, the lights that are on it cost a fortune, the 4 across the top rail are dick cepek, these are not for road use and are 200w each lamp!!, the heat they chuck out burns your head lol, and can been seen miles away, these were nearly £400.
on the front the lights are genuine cibe iodes, again very expensive as these have the sidelight dip/mainbeam in them. £243
the bonnet needs finishing off and painting (see photos) and if i were going to keep it i would take the panels off and repaint the frame work, as someone has painted it black when it was originally blue so you can see slight brush marks and i would redo it mint.
overall its good, quick,got all the bits and most of all ROAD REGISTERED AND LEGAL, taxed tested ready to drive away..
