Title: Road legal Fugitive
Description: Thinking of selling

100bob - August 2, 2009 10:35 AM (GMT)
Due to the fact my Fug has only been out three times this summer, there is becoming less and less point in owning it. As can be seen in the gallery and, will post more pics if requested, it's a fully sorted, pretty good one, MOT'd and taxed, ready to go. May Ebay it, but probably not, I'm a little defensive of it and don't really want tyre kickers round my house. Anyway, if your interested by all means make a provisional offer. Am looking for a late Westfield, not on a Q plate, Toyota engined Elise or a Noble M12. No I'm not expecting a straight swap, though it would be nice :D Should also point out Fug comes with the full 7 piece body kit which is in pretty amazing, damage free condition, about half a day from priming. Tel: 07929 121703 feel free to text.

I know I put road legal on listing, and it really is. V5 states UVA Fugitive, if it says VW Beetle, VW sports, VW convertable etc, you can't use it without risking your driving licence as you'll have no insurance. Really think this makes a difference.

We spoke on the phone the other day, if you decide to sell, let me know.

It really does just come down to a good offer. Just bought twin 40s for it, and baffled sump with superior pick-up, Fug is and has been studily improving all the time. It has cost quite a bit in total, and as with all Fugs, making a profit is out of the question. It can only be an offer as I really don't know what to ask, and will not give a price, that said I would know how much to refuse. I know I'm bias, but it really is fully sorted and ready to go, I only do stuff to it for the sake of it, it needs nothing but using.

Ok,
Just done new steering box and damper, not that the old ones were all that bad, but new is better. Silicon hoses are all sorted out to. I'm just about to get cylinder head worked and the twin 40s fitted.
If it's going to be sold it'll have to be before that's done, otherwise it'll be too expensive to sell as a fugitive. I've had at least a dozen phone calls, and all I'm asked is "how much do you want" but no amount firmly offered, other than one who didn't have thew money anyway, so I guess none really. Just make an offer, or it'll be sitting in the garage for another summer hardly used. It's still taxed and MoT'd.
Honestly, I will not give a price, as I know I can't replace it should I want another one at a later date. So whatever figure I get I'll still be selling myself short. Catch 22 I suppose. Will supply Dellortos, including manifold with it for the right price, alone with & peice body kit.

what kind of price range are we looking at, saying offers is a bit open, i'd offer a £5 and half a bottle of strongbow, but somehow i dont think thats what you're after.

PM me an approx price and i'll see if i can buy it!

Ok, decided what I'm buying and looked at what's available Fug wise. Wasn't going to give any price indication as really wasn't bothered if it sold, or I kept it for the grandchildren. I'm now getting another car that I can't keep outside. I've no more garage space, and I'm not going to start renting it. So £4000 inc the full set of mudguards and body panels, bit more if the Dellorto 40s are required as they are a bit special.
